Line operations safety assessment (STC07)

Context
Because of the emergence of safety management systems (SMS), service providers in safety sensitive industries are increasingly required to equip themselves with predictive analytical tools supporting the practice of safety  management in a data-driven fashion.
Often times service providers believe that safety  data collection is limited to the implementing a  safety reporting system, yet data collection is not meant to be limited to safety reporting.
The line operations safety assessment (LOSA) is instead a safety data collection and analysis programme which can be implemented by all sorts of service providers and it focusses on the observation of normal operations for identifying threats and errors.
LOSAs are revealing additional pieces of information supporting safety performance management in aviation. By attending this training, participants will be able to lead LOSA implementation in their organisations.
