Context
The importance of avionics in modern aircraft has dramatically increased. In this context, normative requirements are becoming stricter and more stringent. These requirements are different among authorities (e.g., EASA, FAA, Overseas Territories, etc.) and each aircraft may have to be modified in a different way.
Consequently, it is important to have a clear view of the applicable requirements and of the aircraft specifications, to understand the best course of action.
