Context
The compliance monitoring function, independent monitoring function, and quality system required under EASA regulations (Part-ORO, Part-145, Part-147, Part-CAMO, Part-ORA, Part-ADR.OR, Part-21, Part-ORGH, and Part-IS) all require compliance monitoring integrated in the management system. This training is applicable to all of these EASA regulatory domains and equips participants to recognise the same underlying requirement whichever term their organisation’s approval uses.

Compliance monitoring can be just about compliance, however taking a systemic approach to compliance will unlock the ability to gain maximum value from organisational processes. Understanding the relationship between compliance monitoring and safety management, and how these systems can impact the business’ bottom line, allows the conduct of real value-adding reviews.

Training items & course structure

• Regulatory basis across Part-ORO, Part-145, Part-147, Part-CAMO, Part-ORA, Part-ADR.OR, Part-21, and Part-IS – as applicable*.
• Introduction to compliance monitoring systems.
• Compliance monitoring system fundamentals.
• What an audit is and what its purposes are.
• Responsibility for the compliance monitoring system.
• Corporate risk and the role of the compliance monitoring system.
• Practical application.

* In addition to this initial regulatory anchor, the EASA ‘compliance/independent monitoring function/quality system’ related regulatory requirements are interwoven, as applicable, in all training items to provide a comprehensive picture of compliance monitoring under EASA regulations.

Training objectives

• Ability to recognise and correctly apply compliance monitoring requirements.
• Ability to develop efficient processes that are compliant with regulations.

Administration

• Duration: 3 days (18 hours) initial, 1 day (6 hours) recurrent.
• Deliverables: All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
